Einwasserung / Launching SUI-3018
Am 29.5. haben Werftchef Marek, sein Techniker Peter und wir das Kundenboot SUI-3018 eingewassert. Nach zwei Tagen Fahrt aus Gizycko hat planmässig die Einfuhr in die Schweiz via Kreuzlingen geklappt (Danke an das Team von Frederick & Stähli). Den eigentlichen Krantermin am Samstag,30.5. um 14.00 Uhr haben wir aufgrund der zügigen Abwicklung und Einfuhr dann spontan vorgezogen und dank des flexiblen Hafenmeisters noch kurz vor Feierabend gegen 17.00 Uhr am 29.5. eingewassert und aufgeriggt.
On May 29th Marek, Peter and we launched SUI-3018 faster than planned. After two days of driving from Gizycko the smooth import to Switzerland via Kreuzlingen (thanks to the team at Frederick & Stähli) we opted for skipping the original crane time at 2pm the next day and instead just made it around 5pm on Friday, May 29th thanks to the flexible harbor master. So earlier than anticipated it enabled us to finish the rigg that evening.
Sekunden bis zum abheben - seconds to lift-off
Als uns klar wurde, das zwar das Vorstag vorhanden war, aber nicht das Aluprofil, haben wir kurzerhand Freitag Nacht bei unserem Boot das komplette Vorstag abgebaut und am Samstag morgen bei SUI-3018 zum Testsegeln montiert (natürlich am Sonntag das ganze rückwärts - Tipp an alle Nachmacher - Vorstagprofile sind nicht zur Mehrfachmontage gedacht, plant viel Zeit ein). Der Aufwand hat sich gelohnt, das Testsegeln bei Traumverhältnissen war wunderbar und alle waren zufrieden. Und nun wünschen wir T. und M. ganz viel Spaß mit ihrer neuen N’Fun 30 und immer eine Handbreit Wasser unter dem (Fest-)Kiel (statt wie üblich Hubkiel).
When we realized that we had the forestay but not the aluminum profiles for the sail, we came up with plan B and that meant taking the complete forestay from our boat Friday night and installing it for the test sailing Saturday late morning (and of course the same reverse Saturday evening/Sunday morning - note to self - a forestay is not meant for multiple times taking apart and putting back together, plan more time). The effort was worth it, on a day with wonderful weather conditions everyone was happy. And now we wish T. & M. much fun with their new N’Fun 30 and as we say in nautical German, always a bit of water under their (fixed) keel (rather than the standard lifting keel).
